Rest stop with waterless toilet at Lanthöjden
A rest stop with a fire pit and a waterless toilet, located on Göta Canal's only artificial island and highest point, Lanthöjden.
The rest stop at Lanthöjden is right by the water, on the small headland that forms where the canal divides into the old and new sections. In addition to the fire pit and waterless toilet, there is also a jetty where you can dock your boat or go for a swim.
Nearby is also the obelisk erected to pay tribute to Charles XIII, who was king when construction of the Göta Canal began. The obelisk also marks Lanthöjden as the Göta Canal's highest point, 91.5 metres above sea level.
