Day 1
Check-in at your selected accommodation is available from 3:00 PM. However, we recommend arriving in Motala earlier to allow time to enjoy the lakeside town on Lake Vättern. Here you will find many cafés and restaurants for lunch, coffee breaks, or dinner. The town also offers plenty of scenic walking paths and swimming spots, weather permitting. A must-see is Borenshult, where you can watch boats pass through the famous lock staircase.
Day 2
Time to board and experience the canal from its very best perspective – the water!
M/S Kung Sverker departs from Motala harbour at 10:30 AM and returns to Motala at approximately 3:30 PM.
You will experience lock passages, calm waters, and the unique canal landscape – just as travellers have done for more than 190 years!
