Camp or stay in a cosy cabin

With your camper van, trailer or tent, you can settle down at a campsite along the Göta Canal and discover the canal area at your own pace. Here we recommend beautiful campsites close to the canal, but also cosy cabins. Mountains outside Linköping and Söderköping are very popular places, but there are many more gems along the canal's 190 kilometres. 

If you do not want to stay at a campsite, it is permitted to pitch a tent along the entire canal, with the exception of areas directly adjacent to locks, bridges and other operations. 

Do something fun!

Around most of our campsites there are plenty of experiences for young and old. Take the opportunity to visit an exciting museum or exhibition, join a guided tour and learn something new, or join one of the passenger ships on a day trip. The possibilities are almost endless!
