Day 1
Today you will visit the fascinating Karlsborg Fortress Museum!
In Karlsborg, you will also find charming restaurants and cafés. Take an evening stroll through the canal area or enjoy a swim somewhere nearby if the weather permits.
You will spend the night at the cozy Hotel Rödesund.
Day 2
A new day and a new museum! Today you will head to Forsvik to visit the historic ironworks, boasting 600 years of industrial heritage.
This summer, the site is also hosting the exhibition EPA Sweden by Benjamin Nørskov – an exhibition about friendship, longing, confusing emotions, powerful loudspeakers, long summers, and awkward kisses. All of it stacked on four wheels, rolling toward adulthood at a top speed of 30 km/h.
While you're in Forsvik, we recommend a visit to Forsviks Café och Mat for lunch or a coffee break, and a stop at the 5knop Canal Shop!
A perfect package for history enthusiasts, culture lovers and anyone wishing to discover some of the most captivating stories along the Göta Canal.
