Technical facts: The lock covers a height of 2.1 metres and just below it, on the south side, lies a spillway. Like most other locks, it is operated using hydraulics. and son Beckman worked here at the Mariehov lock for all of 70 years. Johan A Beckman began his service in 1885. Following his death in 1914, his son Gustaf A Beckman took over lock keeping duties and remained here until 1955.
