Alternative route around Lake Asplången that can be used outside the opening hours of the cycle boat.
In summer, Lake Asplången is served by a bicycle boat for cyclists on the Göta Canal Trail. During other parts of the year, there is no excellent cycle path past the lake. Instead, cyclists are referred to this alternative route that connects to the Göta Canal Trail at Brådtom Lock and Snöveltorp Bridge. The stretch is 13 km and runs largely along a busy road without a cycle path. The section north of the lake, through Snöveltorp and Luddingsbo, is completely closed.
