In this package, you’ll have the chance to experience the Göta Canal together with your children!
Your adventure begins in Sjötorp, where you rent bikes at Sjötorp’s bike rental. After a visit to the Canal Museum, you’ll start your bike ride toward Norrqvarn, where you’ll spend the night in a mushroom or a tree stump! The route is a car-free path that runs along the canal (9 km). Don’t forget to wave at all the boats passing by!
The next morning, after a tasty breakfast, you cycle back to Sjötorp.
Tips!
- Once in Norrqvarn, don’t miss the chance to play with the boats in the mini canal!
- Norrqvarn Hotel & Resort has both a restaurant and an ice cream stand.
- If you want to cycle a bit further, Hajstorp’s Lock Café is 5 km from Norrqvarn.
- In Sjötorp, there’s a fun playground you shouldn’t miss!
- Before or after your visit to the Canal Museum, grab a coffee or ice cream at Café Baltzar, located on the ground floor of the same building!
