Boarding house | In Lyrestad by the Göta Canal is Pensionat Åsgården. Perfect for those who want to live in a quiet environment!

The yellow house in the centre of Lyrestad by the Göta Canal has been a guesthouse since 1932.
Today, the owners Eivor and Björn welcome you to Åsgården with accommodation and food (breakfast and dinner).
 
We also offer bicycle packages / accommodation packages.
The days are devoted to bike rides along the canal, walks and car excursions.
After a day of new experiences, lots of fresh air and perhaps newly discovered muscles after the bike ride, it is nice to sit down at a table and enjoy a good dinner.
 
Åsgården has seven rooms, all with their own shower and toilet.
All the rooms are different in shape, colour and size and are located on the ground floor.

If you are not travelling here by car, there are good train connections to Lyrestad. ( Try www.sj.se )
 
The guesthouse
Nice rooms with comfortable beds and personally decorated.
All rooms have their own toilet/shower and are located on the ground floor.
Double rooms/standard are pleasantly decorated with a seating area.
Double rooms/premium are our most attractive rooms. They have a cosy seating area and a desk.
 
Living rooms
Here you will find books, magazines and various board games.
The "Red Room" has comfortable armchairs and a TV.
You can also plan tomorrow's activity (e.g. bike ride or car trip) in the lounge.
 
The dining room
Only home-cooked food is served at Åsgården.
During the high season, a two-course menu is served at 19:00.
The guests then gather in the dining room on the upper floor.
Eivor handles the serving in the dining room and Björn does the cooking.
After dinner you can enjoy your coffee on the balcony, the veranda or in the parlours.
 
The guesthouse is staffed around the clock.

Here in Northern Skaraborg there are many interesting excursion destinations, in addition to the Göta Canal.
Everything from beautiful nature experiences such as Kinnekulle and Tiveden to unique churches such as Älgarås church and Skaga chapel.
Do not miss the plateau mountains. For example Kinnekulle, Billingen and Lugnåsberget.
Plan a reasonably long day trip. Preferably so that the destinations are in the same direction.
