Fortress Museum – Interesting military historical objects
Karlsborg Fortress Museum is housed on both sides of the magnificent church vault, in the middle of the 678 meter long Stronghold in Karlsborg Fortress

The museum has more than 2,200 m2 area filled with exciting exhibits, stories and objects showing the history of the fortress, the native place and the military units.
What is unique about Karlsborg's Fortress Museum is that all objects are original and have been used in service both in the present time as in the past.
Sweden's only exhibition about the Special Union SOG is housed in our premises where you can see the unit and what it takes to become part of them.
Above the museum rests the Garrison Church, which the ceiling is decorated with a bayonet crown with its 500 kg.
