Boat trip with M/S Kung Sverker along Göta Canal
Choose between Round Trip (Motala - Borensberg - Motala) or Single ticket, starting either in Motala or Borsenbreg.
Product description
With M/S Kung Sverker you will experience a guided tour along the most beautiful part of the Göta Canal.
During the trip, which takes 5 hours, we lock 12 times. We pass cultural-historical areas such as Baltzar Von Platen's grave, Motala Ström, Charlottenborg Castle and Motala Verkstad's old factory area. It was here that the Swedish industrial revolution started.
Eventually we approach the Borenshult lock staircase, which is the steepest in the canal and consists of 5 interconnected locks with a total height difference of more than 15 meters. It is a spectacular sight.
After the lockage, we find ourselves on the beautiful lake Boren. Here we will pass Birgittas Udde and Ulfåsa Castle before reaching Borensberg where we will make a stop of about 40 minutes before returning to Motala.
Lunch is served abord and needs to be pre-ordered when you book your ticket. You can choose between pork fillet, salmon, children's menu or a vegetarian/vegan dish.
You may not eat any self-brought food aboard the vessel.
