Göta Canal marina - Sjötorp/Wharfs basin

Those looking for pleasant canal environments are advised to visit Sjötorp, which is the canal gate at Lake Vänern. For the boatmen, Sjötorp is the first, or last, contact with Göta Canal.

Looking at the locks is a big crowd. In addition to the locks, there are several nice restaurants and cafés and summer shops. Adjacent to the shipyard is tourist information, café, farm shop, bicycle rental and Kanalmuseum.

Sjötorp is the Göta Canal gate to Lake Vänern. The marina in the wharf basin above lock 3 has 22 berths and the basin between locks 1 and 2/3 has 12 berths.
