Töreboda - between Lake Vänern and Lake Vättern, just where the main line railwayto the west crosses the Göta Canal.

The Gota Canal is central to the atmosphere of Töreboda. You will come across the canal repeatedly as it winds its way across the Vadsbo plain, and you will get a good view of the locks, especially at Hajstorp and Riksberg.

Tåtorp is the location of one of two hanoperated locks on the canal. The wood-lined canal rises high above the wide agricultural plain.

Lanthöjden is the highest point through which the canal was dug - 91,5 meters above sea level.

The ferry Lina is Sweden´s smallest ferry in regular service. It crosses the Göta Canal in the town of Töreboda, and the short trip only takes 15-20 seconds.
