The Castle ruin Stegeborg

Söderköping

The Stegeborg ruin castle are located on a small island in Slätbaken near the inlet of the "Göta Kanal". Stegeborg was, during the middle ages, one of Sweden's most important strongholds, and royal residence until the 1600s. In those days most powerful clans met in bloody battles or hard bargaining at the castle.

The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park with herb garden. When you walk around here, you can listen to Stegeborgs fascinating history through an audio guide.

We also offer guided tours with private guide throughout the year after ordering!
