The artwork "Boy" in Tåorp

With her sculptur group, the artist Bianca Maria Barmen associates with a true story, the one about the transport of the Obelisk, made in stone, to the Lanthöjden where it stands today.

This Obelisk marks Göta Canal´s highest point, 91.5 meters above sea level, and is located in Töreboda municipality, between Tåtorp and Vassbacken. Through the work Bianca Maria Barmen also visualises her own experiences on the canal during childhood voyages.

The Vision at Water art project makes proper impressions along the Göta Canal since a few years back. The art competition resulted in a number of permanent artwork along the canal.
