Original package - Family 2012
4 days bicycling along the Göta Canal. A special edition of the original package with less bicycling and instead a boat trip with M/S Ceres.
Your accommodation is booked, your dinners are ready to be served, and your lunches are packed.
All you have to put your energies into is enjoying your trip! The exercise is good for body and soul.
Day 1 - 28 km
The trip starts in Sjötorp, where you can park your car. You’ll spend the whole day bicycling along the old gravel towpath beside the canal.
This first day you’ll have time to stop in the Norrkvarn lock area. You will eat your first dinner and spend the first night at the hostel in Vassbacken.
Day 2 - 16 km
After a satisfying breakfast and with your lunch in your basket, you pedal on towards Karlsborg. You follow the canal until you reach Tåtorp. From there you go by boat to Forsvik. On the boat you will be served lunch.
In Forsvik you have loads to see. After your visit here it is time to continue towards Karlsborg where you’ll eat at the Restaurang Sanny Thai and have a good night’s sleep at the Gula Villan hostel.
Day 3 - 25 km
After breakfast, you’ll join the guided Adventure Tour at Karlsborg´s Fortress. After the tour you can pick the perfect
place to stop and eat.
At the Sätra Bruk manor you’ll be served a two-course dinner and stay in a double room with your own shower and toilet. Luxury!
Day 4 - 40 km
After a good breakfast and yesterday’s recreation, you take on the longest leg of the journey. Through parts of the giant Tiveden Forest, you ride north of Lake Viken back to the Göta Canal. In Tåtorp you meet up with the towpath that will take you all the way back to Sjötorp.

Accommodation:
The first two nights are spent in hostels, in 2 or 4-bed rooms with bunk beds. Shared shower and toilet. Sheets can be rented. No maid service.
At the Sätra Bruk Manor, the last night, you sleep in a double room with your own shower and toilet. Sheets and maid service are included.
This package can only be booked in the summer season, 18th of June - 15th of August 2012.
