The Göta Canal by trailerable boat

This is a suggested 4–6-day trip on the Göta Canal between Sjötorp and Karlsborg by trailerable boat.

The ramp belongs to Sjötorps Båtklubb and can be used for a fee, which you deposit in the money box beside the ramp.

Directions: When you arrive in Sjötorp, turn left on Sjöfallsvägen after passing the canal bridge.

Parking: Free on the bandy pitch, or for a fee in a fenced-in carpark at Sjötorps Varv for longer term parking.

Fee: 500 SEK/week, 75 SEK/night

Gravel ramp at the canal bridge. Not in the best condition.

There is usually space to park a car and trailer.

At the boat club, concrete ramp near the canal bridge. Somewhat steep.

Voluntary fee. Carpark and picnic area.

Concrete ramp below the lock.

Long shallows. Money box for voluntary fee.

Concrete ramp at the Stenbryggan marina in Lake Vättern.
