Braxmaviken Farm lies beside lake Viken in beautiful west Sweden countryside. Come for countryside pursuits such as fishing, fishing for crayfish and hunting and enjoy a stay in the boathouse, the stable house or in modern accommodation in the main building.

Nature’s pantry
The farm nestles lake Viken and the surrounding countryside offersan abundance of game; moose, deer, boar and beaver. Being beside a lake, especially one that is great for fishing and crayfish potting is also a plus. As well as being great for walks, the surrounding forest is a forager’s paradise of berries, mushrooms and other delicacies.

Fishing season
The season here is year-round; pike fishing in the spring and perch and pike- perch is the catches of the summer.

The farm has its own waters for crayfish and the season starts in August.

Boathouse and stable house
Stay lakeside in the boathouse which is 55 square metres in size, provides four beds and is equipped with shower, WC, open fireplace and terrace over the lake.

You can also stay at the stable house at Braxmaviken Farm which is 40 square metres with shower and provides views over the lake.

Both are self-catering, but for group stays meals can be included in we know in advance.

From the South via Skövde:
Follow road 49 towards Askersund. Pass Tibro and Fagersanna then turn left signposted Forsvik & Mölltorp. Drive through the village and carry on for several kilometres until you come to Rosendala signpost, turn right. Take that and carry on towards Forsvik. On the second bend to the left, next to a little red house, you will see a yellow sign to Brasmaviken/Ekabolet, where you will turn left on a gravel road. At the T junction turn right and follow the road by the lake. When you see a large white L shaped large house, you’ve arrived!

From the South via Hjo:
Drive towards Karlsborg. Drive just 100m along road 49 then turn left for Mölltorp and follow the instructions above.

From the North via Askersund, towards Karlsborg:
Before you get to Karlsborg go right on road 202 signposted Mariestad, Forsvik. Go left towards Forsvik village & the Göta Canal. Drive across the canal bridge and carry on a few kilometres. On a bend you’ll see a farm on the left and a little red house on the right. Turn right there signposted Braxmaviken, Ekabolet & follow the road as described above.
