Motala pontoon Bridge


Built: 1930s.

Technical facts: Treöresbron is a floating or pontoon bridge which is operated manually. It has a deck of timber and is only for the use of pedestrians and cyclists.

History of the bridge

 In earlier times, a chain ferry crossed the canal at Motala Verkstad. Passengers were charged a fare of three öre. In the 1930s, the ferry was replaced by a bridge which was given the name ”Treöresbron”.
