Lock history
Locks 4 and 5 make up a unit together with Sjötorp 2 and 3. They are named after the four historic estates of the realm (townsmen, peasants, clergy and nobility).

The lockkeeper’s cottage was built of timber in 1858. Just downstream of the lock, the canal passes under a modern bascule bridge.
